UA Student Researches Cult Classic Comedy Filmed in Tucson
The 1987 romantic teen comedy Can’t Buy Me Love, which was filmed entirely in Tucson, has been an audience favorite for almost 25 years. If you're lucky enough to live in Tucson, you can visit the locations of this film (including Tucson Mall and the Winterhaven Neighborhood), which are easy to get to and easy to find. If you’re unable to see these prime locations in person, the next best thing might be a visit to the website set up by UA Media Arts student Reyna Burruel, who has completed tireless weeks of research into which Tucson locations were used in the film and how they look today.
